United Methodist Church
Painesville, Ohio 1874

The congregation began in 1822, and used several buildings before constructing the present church. Snyder & Wilhelm architectural firm designed the church, following the “Akron Plan” with Sunday school rooms surrounding the sanctuary. The front has two towers, with heights of 97 and 113 feet. The church is adjacent to the town park, next to the Lake County Court House and other historic public buildings.
