Western Reserve College Chapel
Hudson, Ohio 1836

Western Reserve College opened in 1826, the first institution of higher education in the Connecticut Western Reserve. The college was closely affiliated with the Presbyterian Church, for which it educated missionaries and ministers. In the 1820s and 1830s, the College became an important center of antislavery activity. Today the chapel is used for musical and other performances of the Western Reserve Academy.
